MAGFAST Extreme (first-generation) guide
Legacy product guide. MAGFAST Extreme is part of our first-generation family, which we no longer sell. This guide is here for people who already own one.
MAGFAST Extreme is a high-capacity power bank and charger with three wireless charging pads, several ports, and a magnetic connection, so it can charge many devices at once.
What's on it
Three Qi wireless charging pads across the top. Each charges a compatible phone or earbuds wirelessly.
Three USB-A ports. These share their power between the devices plugged in, so charging two at once is slower for each.
Two USB-C ports. Each has its own charging circuit, so they're the fastest way to charge a phone or tablet, and they support USB-C Power Delivery (PD).
The MAGFAST magnetic connection. Snap Extreme to another first-generation MAGFAST product and charge in either direction.
A 12V port with a protective cap, for the optional jumper cables (see below).
Extreme works out how much power each device needs and shares what it has. It's unlikely that every port runs at full speed at the same time.
Which cable do I need?
Your device | Cable |
|---|---|
Modern phone or tablet with USB-C | USB-C to USB-C for the fastest charge, or USB-A to USB-C (slower when charging several devices) |
iPhone, iPad or other Apple device with Lightning | USB-A to Lightning. Choose an MFi-certified cable (Apple's "Made for iPhone" certification) |
Older Android or Amazon device with Micro USB | USB-A to Micro USB |
Older device with Mini USB | USB-A to Mini USB |
Qi-compatible phone or earbuds | No cable needed. Lay the device on a wireless pad |
Laptops: a USB-C laptop will charge slowly from Extreme, because laptops need much more power than phones. It's handy for a top-up, or a slow charge overnight, when you've left your own charger at home.
Phones with their own fast-charging systems: a few brands use their own proprietary fast-charging standards. Extreme charges these phones at standard speeds. For their very fastest speeds, use the phone maker's own charger.
Using the jumper cables
Extreme can jump-start a car with its optional MAGFAST jumper cables, which plug into the 12V port. For the best result, make sure Extreme is charged to at least 75%, and follow your vehicle's jump-starting instructions. If you're unsure, ask a qualified person or roadside service to help.
