Does the iPhone 13 Pro Max Come with a Charger?

iPhone 12 buyers were left puzzled in October 2020 when their new handset didn’t come with a wall adapter. Since then, Apple has been on a bid to reduce package waste, meaning the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro Max and just launched iPhone 14 don’t come with a traditional charger.

The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max handsets have been the best-selling smartphones of 2022 so far. Therefore, our guide will focus on charging these devices.

Does the iPhone 13 come with a charger?

Back in the day, it was commonplace for iPhones to come with headphones and a charger. Today, all that will be in your iPhone 13 box is the handset, a USB-C to Lightning cable, and instructions.

During the iPhone 12 event a few years ago, Apple explained that excluding the power adapter plug reduces the size of the iPhone box. This means 70% more handsets can fit on a shipping pallet, allowing Apple to get stock out much faster whilst also reducing their yearly carbon emissions by 2 million metric tons.

Is the iPhone 13 Pro Max charger included?

Just the same as the regular iPhone 13, only the handset, instructions and a USB-C to Lightning cable are included in the box. You would need to purchase a power adapter to charge your new iPhone 12 or 13 Pro Max via a wall outlet.

There are a myriad of iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max charging accessories available via Apple. However, you don’t have to purchase Apple products to charge your new iPhone.

Alternative ways to charge the iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro Max

You may assume that, to achieve optimal charging for your iPhone, you need to use Apple products via a wired wall socket. However, how technology has developed means there are different ways of charging, both wirelessly and wired, as well as different products that are all high quality and safe for use.

iPhone 13 Pro Max wireless charging

Your new iPhone will be wireless charging enabled. This means you don’t always have to use the USB-C to Lightning cable (with or without an adapter) to power up your iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Having wireless capability means you can charge your phone using any Qi-certified charger. This will be detailed in the product description and on the physical charger itself so you can ensure your iPhone is in safe hands.

There are a variety of different ways to wirelessly charge your iPhone 13 Pro Max. For those who want to charge at work or at home, a wireless charging stand may be the ideal solution. On the go? A wireless portable power bank will suit your needs.

Does the iPhone 13 have wireless charging?

Just the same as the Pro Max, the iPhone 13 can be wirelessly charged too. Again, you will want to ensure you’re using a Qi-certified charger to get the best battery boost.

Charging wirelessly removes the need to use the USB-C to Lightning cable that comes with the iPhone 13 and Pro Max. It’s no secret that cables included with devices don’t always stand the test of time. However, if you do want a wired charge some of the time, ordering a premium charging cable such as MAGFAST Lux may help with longevity.

iPhone 13 car charger

Whether you hit the roads and commute long stretches, or just simply forget to charge your iPhone, an in-car charger bank could be a valuable piece of kit. Whilst not wireless, the tiny gadget plugs into the 12v car input so that you can charge your iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro Max whilst driving.

How fast does the iPhone 13 Pro Max charge?

Using a quality charger, such as one from MAGFAST, it will take at least two hours and 30 minutes to charge an iPhone 13 Pro Max from 0% battery to 100%. It doesn’t matter whether you use a wireless or wired charge, just as long as the charger used is high quality and supports fast charging.

How fast does the iPhone 13 charge?

It is a very similar case for the iPhone 13; however, some users have commented that the charging time is a little longer. This could be a myth and actually the result of charging speed limits set by Apple, and so it feels like it’s taking longer to charge.

As you charge any iPhone, the charging speed decreases as it approaches 100% capacity. This may be frustrating, but it’s actually done to protect the long-term health of your iPhone. Around the last 20% of charging to full capacity puts stress on the battery which is why Apple has programed its charging speeds to slow down after the 80% mark.
